After a family buys a china cabinet, they are usually so eager to put their precious items in it for display.  Therefore, this article is going to discuss a few ways to properly display your china.  First, you will want to make sure your china cabinet has a mirrored back and lighting.  Please don’t discount the effect of the lighting; lighting can turn a displayed item from mediocre to fabulous.

Second, make sure you don’t overcrowd the china cabinet’s shelving.  Many people have the tendency to want to place far too many items into the china cabinet.  When it comes to china cabinets, we are of the mindset that less is often better.  A decluttered china cabinet will always look better than a cluttered china cabinet.

Lastly, make sure you balance the china cabinet out.  As an example, if you place a larger item in the center of the cabinet, you may want to flank it with two smaller items.

If you follow these three tips, we are sure that you will be happy with your new china cabinet.

Many people assume that a china cabinet can and should only be used to store precious china or other tableware.  However, these people would be very wrong.  Just like a curio cabinet, a china cabinet can be used to display any number of valuable collectable items.

Many people will use a china cabinet to display their favorite shot glasses or beer steins they collected while on vacation in Germany.  Additionally, other people often use china cabinets to store photo frames of family members or books or other valuable documents.

Regardless of what a person choose to store in these cabinets, the mirrored backs and built in lighting always produces a dramatic effect.  Many people often compare it to feeling like they are in a museum looking at precious artifacts.

Storing Your Fine China

When most women think about storing their precious china, they often picture a magnificent china cabinet.  But, what should that china cabinet look like.  We believe that a good china cabinet will have a mirrored back to show off all of your fine china.  Additionally, the cabinet should also contain lighting, which will make your china shine.

Another preferable feature is a base that is equipped with drawers and shelving.  If you can find a china cabinet with this type of base, you can store other collectables (such as Danish silverware) and table linens, without having to worry about them getting lost or dirty.
